Project Description

When Jesus goes to the cross as the substitutionary atonement for our sins, He not only pays for them with His shed blood, brutally extracted from His innocent flesh, but on top of that, He endures mocking and humiliation on a grand scale. It’s highly unlikely that any of us will be killed for standing up for Christ, but I guarantee you that at some point, you or I will be made fun of for our faith.  In this morning’s passage, we will see how our Lord responds to being made a fool of while also suffering the effects of severe torture.
